Screen Blotches
From my research on macbook pro screen blotches, or dark spots that look like dust are a most likely a result of heat applied to the screen. The heat in question comes from the macbook pro when its lid is closed before properly cooling off. Other issues like glass shards or dust have also come to mind, but the heat problems with macbooks seems the likely culprit.
